Hotpotato: Not Very Ferrous

Turns out the reason I've been a bit tired lately (or one of them, at least) is that my iron has gotten stupid low again.  I don't know my haemoglobin results (the iron "cheque" account), as we weren't testing specifically for iron, but my ferritin (the iron "savings" account) was 7 at my last test (the "acceptable" range is generally 20-250).

I'm supplementing and trying to up the red meat and down the caffeine for now.  Although I'm still being active (getting about 7ish hours a week in), I'm trying to give myself a break if I feel flat.  So that's partly why I've been a slack blogger (but really, it's cos I AM a slack blogger!)

Happy training, and be back soon :)

Iron deficiency is no fun. I think my ferritin levels usually sit at 11. The curse of being a lady vegetarian! I tend not to take the supplements because they wreck havoc with my gut.

Fingers crossed you're full of energy in good time.

Mine too :( But doc's keen for me to get mine up, so I feel like I'd better
give it a shot.
